Charity recognition

With effect from 29th Jan 2009, Illuminate has been given approval by HMRC to be classed as a charity by law and for tax purposes. Illuminate is currently too small to register with the Charities Commission, but the approval provided by HMRC demonstrates to funders that Illuminate can show that it has a wholly charitable purpose.
